About Me

Hey guys! I thought I'd add an about me page! I figured it would be an easier way to get to know me fast, than going through ALLLLLLLLLLLLL my blog posts!!!!

So here is a little about me!

I'm 28 years old, born on July 10, 1985. I found out I was pregnant in March/April of 2008. I delivered a healthy baby boy on Dec. 10, 2008.

I met my husband in February 2009 online, and we started dating March 27. We got engaged in August 2009 and were married Oct. 31, 2009. On November 7, 2009 I dropped him off at the airport to go to Hawaii, and almost a month later, Dec. 5, 2009 I was on my way to Hawaii. I guess I should back up a bit. In May 2009 my husband(well then boyfriend) graduated college and commissioned in to the US Army as an officer! Shortly after graduation he was in Fort Benning, GA for the first leg of training, OBC as most know it. Then a quick break and he was off to Fort Sill, OK until Oct. 27, 2009 (yes 4 days before our wedding) where he finished his OBC for Field Artillery School. I spent the majority of the time he was at Fort Sill with him, and then flew back home to help prepare for the wedding and DROVE back to pick him up. We then drove home together. We spent 3 years in Hawaii, where he spent 1 year in Afghanistan. In December 2012 we moved to Fort Jackson, South Carolina. He is the Company XO for a Basic Training Unit. Our future after that is up to the Army. And we find out August 2013 what that future holds.

I was under psych care the majority of the time we were in Hawaii, I went through 3 psych doctors. And luckily the 3rd time was the charm. He was great. We found a balance of meds that worked great. And I was actually able to come off them when my husband came home from Afghanistan. We want children, and I do not want to be on them when we get pregnant. So I've been off the meds for a year now, doing great! Just not pregnant yet, lol!

I can't think of anything else to put right now, so I will come back and update later. I guess I should have put more about the adoption, since this is my blog about the journey I'm taking as a Birthmom.
