Questions for Friday, July 23rd: (Special thanks to Christy [for inspiration], Kelly, Brittany Ciara, Emily, and Sami [for inspiration] for their question suggestions! Wanna be linked in a future 5QF? Just go to her community, and offer up your best question suggestions!)

1. What were your school colors?
Red and Grey, we were the Owls...in middle school my colors were Maroon and Gold, like the high school across from us, except they were the Rams and I think we were the Yellow Jackets or something like that...

2. What's the best compliment you ever received?
oh geez...idk...I LOVE whenever my hubby tells me I'm pretty or beautiful or just anything he tells me...love it!!!!! (What a cliche answer, sorry ya'll)

3. Do you buy cheap or expensive toilet paper?
Not the cheap stuff, that stuff is NO BUENO...I like a 2 or 3 ply, we usually get Cottonelle or Sharmin, or whatever is the cheapest of the two, but we don't get cheap cheap toilet paper....Scott 1 ply is NASTY...

4. Have you ever had a surprise party thrown for you? Or have you had one for someone else?
No to both, but I have been to 1, just 1...and he was SHOCKED, had no idea! It was great, and a lot of fun!!

5. What is one material possession that you "can't live without"?
Cell phone or computer....I know, just one, but I can't choose...but I guess, if I had a cell phone I'd have internet so I really wouldn't need a computer because I can post from my phone, but browsing blogs and other things on my phone is not as fun or easy as it is on the computer....

Busy Bee Me

Man, since we got back from Maui I have been so busy. Seriously, I feel like I've not stopped...and I'm sure it will just keep going.

As ya'll know, I sprained my ankle in Maui, and so I had to go to the Quick Care to get it looked at, which they wanted to send me to an ortho, and so I had to go there, then I had to go to the dentist, and then go back to have a cavaity filled, and I had to have a phone session with my therapist since I can't drive, and I had group therapy the week before last, and an FRG meeting, and tomorrow another doctor's appt., and some where I have to go get my license, which might be a 2 trip thing if I can't get the driving test the same day I take the written test, which is just CRAP to me since I have a license, it's just expired, but whatever, I'll pass both...

So, I'm thinking about changing therapist, well, she's really my psych, but whatever...she's dropped the ball a few times, and I just think it's best to go elsewhere. I hate to change, especially since I've been with her since Jan/Feb...but like I said, she's dropped the ball...I'm going to tell her tomorrow if/when she calls for our phone session. Last week she forgot to call for our phone session, so I called the office, and she called back, at that point in time, I was willing to give her another chance, but she forgot to put in a medication for me, and she said she would...this is not the first time she has messed up a medication or prescription...I should have told her to put it in when she changed the dosage before we left for Maui, but I thought I'd have enough to get me through Maui and my next appt, and when I didn't, I told her, and she said she would, and since I can't drive, due to the whole no license thing, I asked a friend to take me by the pharmacy, only to be told that it wasn't in...and they could not get a hold of anyone at the office. Another thing that I want to achieve in changing is the whole group therapy aspect of my therapy plan. The week before last a member of the group got upset and threw a chair into a stack of other chairs, nobody was hurt, but I honestly did not feel safe at the time it happened, nor did I want to go back. (this is all I can say about it, since it did happen in a group therapy setting, and privacy and all that jazz) So that is really the main reason I called my psych last week, was to talk about what happened, and to set up an appt, since she had not called me to set one up...and we talked about it and she said she'd talk to the group leader, and would let me know. She talked to him, and he told her he was working on it, and she asked him to call me. He called me Monday to tell me he had a plan to insure our safety, but when I asked what he was planning to do he would not tell me, nor would he tell me if this person would be there, so I told him that if that person was there, then I would leave, but that I would try it. Well, I ended up not going because I just didn't feel like, and the hubby didn't get home in time, and we had a FRG meeting that night anyways. I haven't heard from anyone about group, and I'm thinking I'm going to go next week, but we'll see. I talked to a friend about it, and they suggested doing 5 minutes at a time, and if the person got angry to leave, so I think that is a logical way to deal with it, and might help with the anxiety of going. But to be honest, I just wasn't that impressed with the leaders attitude about it, nor did I like that he didn't explain what he was going to do to insure our safety, which next to trust is very important...don't you think?

My ankle is doing so much better, it still hurts when I move it funny or sit on it...I'm known to sit Indian Style or whatever, so I can't do that with my ankle yet, but it's definietly easier to walk on. The ortho doctor said it would heal on it's own, but that if I wanted to go to physical therapy I certainly could, and he even put in a consult, but since I can't drive yet, I've put it off, I can't ask the hubby to take me, and I'm not going to ask a friend to drive to the hospital for that, it's just too far....so if I can get in to get my license soon I'm going to call and make an appt, I have a couple more weeks, the consult will be null 30 days after it's put in the computer.

I can't really think of whatelse I was going to bring up, but I'm sure I'll think of something later, I've got my 5 Question Friday all ready to go once Mama M. puts up the linky post tomorrow, I feel so outta the loop with 5QF since I haven't done it in weeks...oh well....

25 years old and a sprained ankle in Maui

So Saturday was my birthday, the big 2-5! It was great, the LT got me a pearl necklace, on top of the Maui trip, it was an impromptu gift, seeing as we were walking around this little town and they had this shop where you picked an oyster from a bowl of water and blessed it and then they opened it for you, and there was a HUGE pearl in it, and then I got to pick a charm to go with it!

And then the next day, which was my actual birthday, we went driving the Road to Hana, it took us 9 hours to do the whole road, and it was like one lane roads that were two way, and not enough room for 2 cars to drive, several unpaved roads, and a million curves, but the waterfalls were amazing, and some of the stuff we saw was great too...but this next picture explains it all....

So this is what happens when I lose my footing on gravel. We were going to go down to a Black Sand Beach, and well, BAM, I fell on my ass, and I cut my foot up and sprained it and even cut my right forearm pretty bad too....

And my husband is the best, and went and took a pic of the flavors they had and showed me, and even got me a bag of ice, I got Watermelon, Cherry and Strawberry....
It was the best ever, and I even got another one on Sunday at the aquarium! How exciting, I love me some shaved ice. It was so good!

I rode around the aquarium and air port in style, in a wheel chair, I felt special, but going through security with a wheel chair and crutches is NO BUENO, and SLOW...and word of advice, if you have a GPS and you have the case that can go on the car dash, put it in your checked bag because they'll test it because the sand or whatever looks like a bomb...

I've got a sprained ankle, if you couldn't tell from the picture, but I also have a bone fragment in a ligament or something, so I have to see an orthopedic, and I also have to get a new license, since my license expired Saturday, on my 25th birthday....which just happened to be the same day I sprained my ankle, ugh....and the LT is working, and we have to find time to get my license, and he has to take my to the dentist if we can't do it before Thursday, and so I'm pretty stressed, but I had a great vacay and birthday, and I think I will NEVER forget it!

Vacay All I Ever Wanted

So, it's about 2 weeks until my 25th birthday, yikes, how sad. But less than 2 weeks til we go to Maui! (Hence the title)

Things here are going, slowly, but going. I wish I could just snap fingers and have the house in order, or the laundry done, or the kitchen clean. I'm seriously ready to be settled, but yet, I can't get the energy or motivation to do it. I look at things, and say, oh I wish that were this way, and I also think, oh I think I could do this with that, but I don't, it's like I'm not capable. Something in me just can't do it. I'd say maybe the vacay will help me find my motivation. Or getting ready for it will. I know things need to be clean before we leave, so we don't get infested with bugs, but at the same time, I just don't want to. No motivation = a messy messy house. And this isn't the first time this has been a problem. Growing up I never cleaned. I hated it. And another thing that would happen is I would start going through something, and cleaning it out or what not, and I'd get side tracked with something in it. Like one time in High School or something, I came across love notes from an ex-boyfriend, and I decided to rip them up in tiny tiny pieces, and then place them in a candle glass holder and burn them, in my room, with no window open. My mother thought the house was burning down. But, I wanted to get rid of those things, and I thought fire would work. Apparently, I've never been very smart. HA!

So we're getting ready for a ton of stuff, aside from the vacay, there is nothing else FUN going on, but stuff that has to be done. Like 2 trips to the Big Island for the LT for a few weeks each time, where I'll be alone. Which kind of helps prepare for the whole him being gone for a year. It still sucks. But it helps to remember that this time apart is time he needs to be prepared for the deployment, and he needs this more than I need him at home. I'd much rather him go on the deployment with as much training as possible than going with none and ending up hurt. I think a few weeks here and there are better than living my life with out him. And it's how I need to think about this to get through it. It might not be a good way, but it's mine, and I like it. If it upsets some, then BLAH...I'm sure it will. Because I've been doing that a lot lately. And for that I just say I'm sorry and I didn't mean to.

I really am trying to be better about this whole blogging thing, but it kind of goes along with the house work/unpacking thing. I just can't seem to do it. I don't feel like I have anything to say, and I feel like whenever I do talk it upsets someone. And everyone knows how that makes me feel. I hate it. And I don't mean to, I'm just honest, and I say what I mean. I don't feel like sugar coating anything, and I'm just not going to walk on egg shells any more. But I do try to watch what I say, and think before I say it.

So, I have some catching up to do in the blog world, and I've tried to visit everyone, and if I don't leave a comment it doesn't mean that I haven't read, just that I can't think of anything to say.

New meds & other random things

So, my doctor took me off of 2 of my meds, raised 1 to 150mg and added a new one. I'm trying Lunesta, just 1mg right now but I'm thinking I will have to raise it as I'm still wide awake at 1am when I laid down at 10. It worked great last night. But idk why tonight would be different. Makes no sense. I could understand if I'd been on it for awhile because all meds do that to me. Hence why we have had to raise and change meds. I think I've tried lunesta before. But I honestly have been on so many meds in the past 6 or so years they all run together. If this one doesn't work she's going to put me on ambien, which I don't want to do. I have heard too many horrible things about it and its an addictive medication and with my track record on meds, it could easily become a problem. And I would like to avoid that.

Something I wanted to talk about is death, no I don't wanna die. But several people around me are. First my grandma in January and then my aunt a few weeks ago, along with a few other family members I wasn't close to or friends of family members. But there have also been celebrity deaths. But the ones that hit me the hardest are the ones who die too young or commit suicide. Back a few months ago there was layla grace who was just a baby, and then a week or so ago a girl I went to high school with passed, and then this week another young man passed. And in the last few months I've heard of countless suicides. They were way to young and all but layla grace and the ones who took their own lives were healthy. And it makes you question God and what His meaning is and the meaning behind these deaths. The ones I mentioned first were all from old age, you know, the circle of life type thing. And I guess you could call them all that, but is it really the circle of life when someone dies at the age of 5 or younger, or in their 20's?

And there really are no words. Just confusion. But for the outsider, the ones not that close to the death, we need to help those who hurt. And help them see it is all apart of God's big plan. God"s timing is perfect, even in death, and even if we don't see it now, God will reveal his plans to us in His time. Ultimately God knows when we will all die. Even those who pass unexpectedly. It all goes back to God forming us before we were even a thought in our parents minds. And He had how we would live mapped out. So if you've recently lost a loved one or a friend. Remember that God loves you and your loved one or friend and that it might not make sense now but in time you will be shown the true meaning behind their death. And remember that if they believed in God and were forgiven of their sins then they are in heaven looking down on us and have perfect bodies and are no longer in pain and no longer sad or lonely or hurting. They are dining with Our Father and He is taking perfect care of them.

I hope I can get some sleep now. That sure would be nice. But to ensure I do, benedryl here I come. Ha! Ole faithful.
