The 31 Days thing is on hold...*this is long and not nice*
For about a day, maybe...because I'm pissed...and here is why....
Because of my stupidity, I let my license expire, I admit, I knew full and well that my birthday was coming up and that my license was going to expire on said day, and that we would not be in town, so I thought about going and taking care of it. However, time got away from me. I have no idea how, but next thing I knew it was time to go to Maui, and no time to renew, so I have an expired license. And in the state of Hawaii if you have an out of state expired license you must take and pass the written exam and get a permit and then take the driving test to get a license. Well, there is really only 1 way to get a permit, you go to the office and stand in line, they open at 7:45am, and if you get there early enough you don't have to wait too long. And if you also get there early enough, if you pass the permit test, you can then get BACK in line and wait to see if you can even get a spot for the day to take the driving test....so....here is how today went....
6am - woke up, preheated the oven to make muffins for my wonderful friend who was going to take me and stay with me
6:15am - had muffins in the oven and was fixing my hair and dressing
7:15am - we were in line waiting for the doors to open...
7:45am - doors open, lines starts moving...
8:15ish am - I get to go in and try to get my permit, but they tell me that I have to get back in line to get my license, even though my license has only been expired for 1 month, when most places have a "grace period" (for lack of a better term) and I go off on them, walk out with out taking it
8:25am - I apologize to the them and pay for the permit test, take it and while I do that, my wonderful friend waits in line FOR me so I don't have to go to the end of the line....
9:00am - by the time all that is done it's already 9am, and we wait in line 30 min before it starts to move, and then finally it starts moving...
10:15am - got an appointment for 2pm....
between 10:30am and 1:30pm we hang out
1:30pm - get back to the DMV to wait to be called...
2pm - called to take the test....
2:20pm - crazy lady tells me I scored 40 points on a test I need 15 points on....apparently in the state of Hawaii you pull out into the intersection to make a left turn on green (when no arrow) and try to get yourself hit...I'm sorry, but I was scared to DEATH that I was going to kill the woman, so why the HELL would I pull out into an intersection in a bad part of town....WTF is wrong with these people.....I admit, some of the mistakes I made I know I made, like forgetting to look over my shoulder, yea, I knew I messed up, after I did it, I was like, SHIT (in my head), but come on...the roads are so bad there, and things aren't marked well, so how the hell am I to see the damn bike lane if it isn't clearly marked? And the STOP line in the parking lot at the DMV is so worn down I wouldn't have stopped if she hadn't of told me it was a stop line...and apparently, if the NOSE of your bumper is ON the stop line, you've CROSSED it, I wasn't aware that was a CRIME...my tires were behind it, the crazy lady LEANED out my window to look...this is one reason I do not like Hawaii, they hate white people....my friend brought up a good point, that her husband pointed out, because they don't like military, but he said that if it weren't for the military then there would be no island, so they should be thanking us! And I'd have to agree....so take that you stupid Hawaiians...
2:25pm - on the phone cussing at the husband, because really, what else are they good for ;) (totally kidding)
2:30pm - a guy who gives the test comes up to my car and asks if I've taken the test, I say yes, I failed, he then asks me what I'm doing (I have my phone to my ear that he can see) and I tell him I'm on the phone because it's ILLEGAL to talk on the phone in HAWAII WHILE YOU DRIVE, what the hell do you think I'm doing, I mean really.....
2:40pm - I call my husband back because NOW my phone won't charge, it started that last night, and I didn't think much of it, but when I plugged it into the car charger it didn't want to charge, unless the charger is in the hole JUST right....since when did my phone turn into a female?!?!
But on the bright side of all this, I have a permit for Hawaii, and all I have to do next time is go stand in line at 7am and HOPE I'm one of the first to get a driving test, and NOT be with the same lady and I'll pass, oh and I'll be sure to STOP in the middle of an intersection when making a right turn, I mean, why not put the life of the person who can say whether I pass or fail in danger?!?!

Day 7 thru 11
I know I know...I'm sorry...I will try not to go 4 days without posting in a 1 a day posting themed thingy...So, since these are all photo related I thought I'd put them all together...and I added the 11th day as well...
Day 8 - a photo that makes you angry/sad
Day 9 - a photo you took
Day 10 - a photo taken over 10 years ago of you
Day 7 - a photo that makes you happy
My niece, Kynlee, she'll be 1 in a few days, hard to believe seems like yesterday I got a call from Emily, my best friend that she was pregnant, I remember it because it was about a month or so after I had given birth. She was so scared to tell me, but what she doesn't know is that her little girl gave me something to look forward to, and hope.
Day 8 - a photo that makes you angry/sad
This one makes me sad. It was the last time I ever held my son or even saw him face to face. What I wouldn't give to hold him again. But knowing that he's happy and healthy is ok for now. This will probably be the only picture of him I post, since I took all of them off, but I figure it was a picture I took of him, so it would be okay. It's hard to believe that today marks 20 months...just 4 short months and my son will be 2...it's so hard to imagine....I know God had bigger plans for him than me. I know that I was just a vessel, but he will always be my son.
Day 9 - a photo you took
My first sunset in Hawaii...I took this picture at the first Hail and Farewell we went to, it was the one we were hailed at, which is welcomed into the Battalion. It was a nice night, and I just loved this picture.
Day 10 - a photo taken over 10 years ago of you
Not sure exactly if this was 10 years or not, but it was close I think...It was Easter at church, my hair is super long and I think, from the shirt, I was super skinny...all the kids had put their baskets on their heads, so they wanted me to put my sister's on mine, so of course, being the best big sister ever, I had to!
Day 11 - a photo of you recently
This is from the first night in Maui back in July...it's probably the only picture of me you'll see for a while, I'm not to sure about me right now, lol...

Day 4 & Day 5
Day 4 - Favorite Book
So, growing up I had a love hate relationship with reading, one minute I loved it, the next I hated it. I would read one minute and then the next I wouldn't. I hated to read for school, but when it came to pleasure reading I loved it. And wow, I just rambled like a whole whole lot in that..and I could delete it and start over, but then what fun would that be? NONE...so moving on....
I loved the Baby Sitter's Club books, they were great!! I wanted to be in the Club. I even tried to do something similar, by myself, but nothing ever worked out.
Other books I liked were the Goosebumps series, and there was a Romance series that I liked, they were written by several different authors, I can't remember the names of the books or the series, but I couldn't get enough of them.
As I got older I got into more mature stuff...and then there was the stuff we were suppose to read for school, that I did not like. Now I'll read it though....lol
I love Fern Michaels and Nora Roberts now, and can just go from book to book in no time at all! When I actually sit down and read!
I've also enjoyed the Twilight series. I know, I know, how lame. But I just got hooked.
Day 5 - Favorite Quote
So my best friend sent me a message on Facebook today with a picture and the quote was "A Birthmother puts the needs of her child before the wants of her" so right now, that's my favorite quote....
Here are some from my Facebook -
"Never make somebody your everything; cuz when they're gone you have nothing"
"cant live with em, cant shoot em, so you're stuck with em" - my bestie said that
"What is meant to be will always find a way"
"I’m gonna smile and make you think I’m happy, I’m gonna laugh, so you don’t see me cry, I’m gonna let you go in style, and if it kills me- I’m gonna SMILE"
"Mistakes only make you stronger"
"Laugh your heart out, dance in the rain, cherish the memories, ignore the pain, love and learn, forget and forgive because remember you only have one life to live"
"Sometimes we must get hurt to grow; we must fall in order to know; sometimes our vision's clear only after our eyes are washed away with tears"
"If you can't get someone out of your head, then maybe they're suppose to be there"
Those are just a few....I'm sure I have other's, but I can't think of them. Hope you enjoyed this post, sorry for the delay of Day 4!

Day 3 - Your Favorite Television Program
My bestie wrote about a TV show that we both do not agree with. And I'm going to take this time to say why I think this show is wrong, and then I'll talk about my favorite ones. However, a little disclaimer, a few of my favorite shows are kind of doing the same things as this one show I can't stand. But I got hooked on the other shows, and I think because the other shows are real life situations make a big difference. It doesn't make the issues they cover look glamorous. I'm in no way saying that the material is good or I agree with it. So, unless you've not figured it out yet, I'll go ahead and start with the show I do not agree with.
Secret Life of the American Teenager - first of all, teen pregnancy is a problem in the US, and people need to realize that, but making it look like a good thing is just not cool, sure families should not turn their backs on the young girls, but making it look glamorous is just silly...and then, my bestie wrote about how they seem to be leaning toward having a character have an abortion, which I mean, every girl probably thinks about it when they find themselves pregnant unexpectedly, but 16 year olds shouldn't be thinking about such a life changing thing. I don't think abortion should be banned or illegal, I think it should be a choice. I also feel that if it were to become illegal we'd have the black market abortions, and we'd be more prone to 2 deaths instead of one, and I just don't know...but I just don't know, I can't watch that show, it just pisses me off to much and besides, it's horrible acting and horrible story. I mean, the one who got pregnant in the beginnings mom ended up pregnant with another man's baby...I know that happens every day, but do we really need to put it out there on a TV show and make it look cool? I think not....
So, onto the shows I love...some of them are train wrecks that I can't look away from...and I'll start with those, because, come on, who doesn't love a train wreck ;)
Jersey Shore, 16 & Pregnant, Teen Mom, anything Kardashian...
Now onto shows I'm embarrassed to confess I watch (which really, the train wrecks should be a part of this, but oh well...)
Toddlers and Tiarra's, E! News, The Soup, Daily 10, Southpark, Boondocks
Some that I just love...
Army Wives, Chelsea Lately, Tosh.0, Holly's World, White Collar, Burn Notice, Modern Family, The Middle, Cougar Town, NCIS, Family Guy, Two and a Half Men
Some oldies but goodies...
Gimore Girls, Friends, Full House, The Nanny, Clarissa Explains it All, anything Nick at Night or TGIF (back in the day)

Day 2 - Favorite Movie
This is another hard one, but my all time favorite movie growing up was "The Sound of Music" and "Little Women" - I wore the VHS's out!
Another favorite was a Betty Crocker cake decorating video, it showed all these neat cakes, and how to do them....I know, I'm crazy...
Another one, and I didn't really do the exercises, but it was a ballet instruction video and then a Mickey Mouse exercise video too...
Another one that I liked as a kid was this Gymboree video called Play with Purpose, you can only find it on VHS, I tried to get it for my best friends little girl, but I don't think they have a VHS player, lol...and I'm not sure how to make it a DVD, or whatever, so oh well...I tried...
Anyways, those are my ALL time movies!!

Day 1 - Favorite Song(s)
So today is your Favorite song, but who has just ONE favorite song? I sure don't...I have several favorites...and I figure I'll just list them...
Bella's Lullaby from Twilight
Dear God - Avenged Sevenfold
A Little Piece of Heaven - Avenged Sevenfold
California Gurls - Katy Perry
All the songs from The Sound of Music
Anything by Sugarland
Amanda - Boston
Brown Eyed Girl - Van Morrison
Anything Jimmy Buffet
Anything Elton John
Anything Beatles
I have always loved 80's music too...and I'm a HUGE fan of New Kids on the Block, even to this day..I always said if they got back together I'd see them in concert, but I haven't done it yet, so hopefully they're not done :) I would DIE if I could see them...
I honestly can't think of any more, I mean, this is such a vague topic...anyways, see ya'll tomorrow for the next topic :)

Five Question Friday on Sunday?!?! LOL, oops I'm late
1. Did you have a favorite blanket or toy as a kid? If so, do you still have it?
Yes, I had a favorite blanket and pillow, and they are still around, and I also had a baby doll, and she's still around too...The pillow and baby doll are as old as I am, I'm not sure about the blanket, but I'd assume it's getting up there...
2. Do you dream in color?
Yes, I have very real dreams, there may be times when I wake up and I'm a little confused as to if I dreamed or not...I think we've been over this a few times on here...so I'll keep that brief, however, we went to see Inception, and it FREAKED me out, it was a great movie, and definitely made you wonder, but now I'm always like, freaked out when I dream...and I already had a hard time figuring out if I was dreaming or not, and so now it's even harder to figure out.....I seriously have been driving down the road wondering, am I dreaming or am I actually driving, I mean, right now I could be dreaming for all I know...lol
3. How tall are you? Do you wish you were shorter or taller?
I'm 5'1 or 5'2, I'd like to be taller, but I'd like to be skinnier also, so I guess we can't all get what we want, lol...but I'm not as concerned with being taller now, than I was say in high school and before....
4. If you could have anyone's (celeb or other) voice as the guide on your GPS, who would it be?
Could it NOT sound like a machine!?!? Because that is annoying, I'd like the hubs voice maybe, or some guy with a nice accent, but really, I'll take a guy over a girl any day, I don't like the girl voices, lol
5. Do you return your shopping cart to the corral or leave it wherever in the parking lot?
I've been guilty of leaving them in the parking lot, but I try to always take it back, it just depends on what store I went to, where the corral is located, and how I feel that day....sometimes I'll even offer my "buggy" to someone else...I'll tell ya'll a story - hubs and I went to the grocery store for something right after I got to Hawaii, as we were walking out the store, a family was coming in, so I offered them our "buggy" by asking them nicely "do ya'll need a buggy" - hubs couldn't wait to make fun of me for that, but hello ya'll, I'm a freakin' southern belle, of course I'm not going to talk differently...geez....
